South Africa has emerged from the world's sporting wilderness to reassert itself as a Cricketing powerhouse. Never far from the top of the rankings the Proteas always provide an intimidating challenge for visiting cricket nations. The cricket is tough and hard fought but the atmosphere and location are as welcoming as anywhere in the world.

***THIS IS A SAMPLE ITINERARY FROM THE 2009 TOUR***

The 15 day tour will take in two tests and also have time to visit the Kruger National Park for 'Big Game' drives as well as Table Mountain in stunning Cape Town. An 8 day add on will be available for more cricket including a pulsating Pro20 match at the “Bull Ring” Wanderers Ground in Johannesburg

Global Drift will provide a no frills tour schedule with options for golf, game drives and sightseeing to be taken up on the tour as desired. This will keep the price down and allow greater flexibility for pursuit of personal interests

The 15 day itinerary covers the Durban at Kingsmead and Cape Town at Newlands tests.

An 8 day add on will be available to cover more time in Cape Town as well as the Pro20 game at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. (SEE ADD ON TOUR PRICE BELOW)

Day 1 - Sat 7th March - Arrive Durban
Arrival day (no activities planned)
Day 2 - Durban
Transfer to Kingsmead Oval and enjoy Day 3 of the Second Test between Australia and South Africa
Day 3 - Durban
Transfer to Kingsmead Oval and enjoy Day 4 of the Second Test
Day 4 - Durban
Transfer to Kingsmead Oval and enjoy Day 5 of the Second Test
Day 5 - Durban to Didima Camp
We depart by coach and travel via Pietermaritzburg and the Howick Falls to the Drakensberg Mountains. We overnight at Didima Camp which has stunning views of the mountains. We spend the afternoon just relaxing or you may try your hand at trout fishing. There is also a golf course nearby
Day 6 - Didima Camp to Johannesburg
After breakfast we drive to Johannesburg. We are planning a social cricket match with a local college team followed by a get together to celebrate our win (?) A possible afternoon visit to the Wanderers Cricket Ground
Day 7 - Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
On to the Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport and fly to Mpumulanga. We will enjoy 4 nights in the Kruger National Park at 2 different camp locations. We enjoy an afternoon game drive in an open landrover
Day 8 - Kruger National Park
2 game drives are planned. There is also some excellent golf options nearby to combine your interests. Read up on the penalties for hitting a hippo (stroke and distance?)
Day 9-10 - Kruger National Park
Game drives, golf and relaxation are available for you to enjoy
Day 11 - Kruger National Park to Cape Town
We fly to Cape Town and transfer to our Hotel. Dinner out tonight sets us for a wonderful stay in this beautiful city
Day 12 - Cape Town
A free day for sightseeing. We will hope to visit Table Mountain with stunning views as well as a trip to Robben Island prison home to Nelson Mandela for many years
Day 13 - Cape Town
Transfer to Newlands and enjoy Day 1 of the Third Test
Day 14 - Cape Town
Transfer to Newlands and enjoy Day 2 of the Third Test
Day 15 - Sat 21st March - Cape Town
If you have an evening connection you can enjoy Day 3 of the Third Test before departing

We enjoy a final morning in Cape Town before a short flight to Johannesburg
Day 6 - Johannesburg
A full days sightseeing is planned with visits to the Apartheid Museum and a tour of the Soweto Township. An interesting day with options for golf available as well
Day 7 - Johannesburg
Today we transfer to the “Bull Ring”, the Wanderers Stadium for the Pro20 cricket match. Bring your earplugs as this stadium heaves with atmosphere, colour and excitement
Day 8 - Sat 28th March - Depart Johannesburg
