South Africa emerged from the world's sporting wilderness to reassert itself as a Cricketing powerhouse. Never far from the top of the rankings the Proteas always provide an intimidating challenge for visiting cricket nations. The cricket is tough and hard fought but the atmosphere and location are as welcoming as anywhere in the world

The 12 day tour will enjoy days at both cricket Tests and includes a visit to the Kruger National Park for 'Big Game' drives. We also visit Table Mountain and other sites in stunning Cape Town.
Global Drift offers a tour schedule with inclusions such as all cricket tickets, private transport, game park drives and sightseeing in each location. There will be options for golf and other location specific activities

Day 1 - Monday 7th Nov - Arrive Cape Town Arrival day (no activities planned). Dinner out tonight sets us up for a wonderful stay in this beautiful city Day 2 - Cape Town A day of sightseeing. We plan to visit Table Mountain with stunning views as well as a trip to Robben Island prison, home to Nelson Mandela for many years Days 3-6 - Cape Town Transfers to Newlands, one of the world’s most picturesque cricket grounds, to enjoy the First Test. There will be morning golf and alternate options available for each day of the cricket if you are feeling like a break from the festivities at Newlands Day 7 - Cape Town to Johannesburg/Kruger National Park Transfer to Newlands for day 5 of the First Test (if required). This evening we transfer to Kruger National Park and settle in for our stay Days 8-9 - Kruger National Park Kruger National Park is a must for any South African adventure. We will enjoy 3 nights in the Park at 2 different camp locations. A minimum of 3 game drives are planned to view the “Big 5” (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and Cape buffalo). There are also some excellent golf options nearby to combine your interests Day 10 - Kruger National Park to Johannesburg We enjoy a final morning in the Park before heading back into Johannesburg in the afternoon to prepare ourselves for the Second Test Day 11 - Johannesburg Today we transfer to the “Bull Ring”, the Wanderers Stadium, for the first day of the Second Test. Bring your earplugs as this stadium heaves with atmosphere, colour and excitement. Tonight we enjoy a final meal together to savour the grand moments of our cricketing safari Day 12 – Friday 18th Nov - Depart Johannesburg Depending on your flight time there will be time to enjoy day 2 of the Second Test before making your way to the airport. Most international connections depart Johannesburg in the evening |
